Create a New Metric

How to create a new metric within Pluvo's metric tab.

Step 1: Navigate to the Metrics tab.

Step 2: Click ‘New Metric’.

Step 3: Give your new metric a name.

Step 4: Select a unit of measure.

  • Number – a quantity of things (ex: headcount)

  • Currency – a quantity of money (ex: new monthly revenue)

  • Percentage – a proportion of something (ex: churn rate)

Step 5: Select a metric type

  • Formula — a low-code tool that allows you to string any number of variables together mathematically. To understand the value of this tool, please reference the building custom metrics knowledge article.

  • Aggregation – you can either sum or count variables by month/year. Simply begin typing in the variables text box to find your desired driver, metric, or account.

Above you will see that the metric definition corresponds to the formula metric type. In order to create your formula you simply need to input (#) and then type or scroll to find your desired variable. You can then use basic mathematics to string together your variables and create the metric.

Step 6: Complete the formula or aggregation parameters to your needs.

Step 7: Click ‘Save Changes’.

Your new metric will appear within the category you specified, or isolated in the Metrics tab main interface.
