Release 1.2.0
Hey everyone — Vanessa here 👋
We've been heads-down over the past few weeks pushing out some foundational upgrades to the way modeling works in Pluvo. This is our biggest release yet, packed with features that open up entirely new ways to plan, analyze, and collaborate.
Our goal was to make the platform more intuitive to use, and to reimagine workflows that were acting as bottlenecks.
Some of this sets the stage for where we’re going next—especially around reporting and collaborative planning—but already, you’ll notice a faster, more flexible experience when building models or exploring scenarios.
Thanks as always for being part of the journey. Here’s what’s new, what’s changed, and what we’ve cleaned up.
As always if you have any question or feedback, you can reach out to me directly at [email protected].
Added
Custom Actuals Definitions Define how actuals are calculated to better support diverse accounting structures and multi-entity models.
Formulas in Grids Write formulas directly in grid cells, enabling more dynamic and spreadsheet-like workflows.
Variable Folders Organize your models more effectively by grouping variables into folders. Reference folders in aggregation formulas.
Drag Formulas Across Cells (Horizontally) Apply formulas across time by dragging horizontally, similar to spreadsheets.
Scenario Diffing & Merging Compare and merge different scenarios to assess impact and consolidate plans.
Time Functions in Formulas New date and time functions allow for more advanced time-based logic.
Support for
SUMIF()
andCOUNTIF()
Apply conditional logic within formulas to summarize or count based on criteria.Copy + Paste Across Cells Use standard keyboard shortcuts to move or replicate data within grids, including pasting from external data sources.
Import Rows from Other Models Bring in variables from other models for reuse or consolidation.
In-Cell Error Handling Errors are now displayed within the cell, making them easier to identify and resolve.
On-the-Fly Formula Recalculations Formulas update automatically as you type, without requiring manual refreshes.

Updated Grid Styling and UI Improved look and usability of the modeling interface for better visibility and navigation.
Refresh and Recalculate Merged into One Action Simplified experience—these are now combined into a single control.

Automatic Movements Handled via Formulas Account movements that were previously configured through menus are now implemented directly in formulas.
Reports Are Now Treated as Models Reports behave like models, unlocking greater flexibility. Additional reporting features will be introduced in upcoming updates.
