What it does
Commenting lets you and your team talk about the work right where it lives, so feedback stays attached to the exact report or dashboard it refers to instead of getting lost in email. Notifications then make sure the people involved know when something needs them, whether that is a mention, a reply, or an analysis that has finished running.Commenting
You can add comments on dashboards, anchored to the chart you are discussing. Comments appear in a panel alongside the content, and each comment can hold a full back-and-forth thread.Add and manage comments
1
Open the comments panel
On a report or dashboard, open the comments panel to see the discussion for that item.
2
Add a comment
Write your comment and post it. It appears in the panel with your name and the time.
3
Mention a teammate
Type
@ and start typing a name to bring up your teammates, then pick one. The person you mention is notified so they can jump straight to the thread.4
Reply to keep the thread going
Use Reply on a comment to respond in the same thread, so the whole conversation stays together.
5
Resolve when it is handled
Once a comment has been dealt with, mark it Resolve to clear it from the open list. You can Unresolve it later if it needs to come back.
Filtering the panel
The comments panel lets you switch between All, Open, and Resolved, so you can focus on what still needs attention or look back at what has already been closed out. Unread comments are flagged so you can spot new activity quickly, and each comment shows where it is anchored so you know what part of the report or dashboard it refers to.Notifications
Notifications keep you informed without having to go looking. They collect in your Inbox in the sidebar, which shows a count of anything unread. What you get notified about
