What it does
The Assistant is the front door for questions about your financial and operational data. You ask in plain language, and Pluvo answers from your connected data, with each important number shown as a link you can click to see exactly where it came from. The point is trust. Rather than a figure you have to take on faith, every load-bearing number in an answer is backed by a real query against your data, and Pluvo tells you when something in its answer could not be verified. How to use it
1
Ask a question
Open Assistant and type your question, for example “Do a budget vs actuals for last month” or “Which expense lines are trending over budget?” Press Enter to send, or Shift and Enter to add a line break.
2
Or start from a suggestion
The landing screen offers a set of starting points, including asking a question, running an analysis, building a table or chart, and creating an artifact. Each one carries example prompts you can use as they are or edit before sending.
3
Answer any clarifying question
If a detail would change the answer materially, the Assistant asks you one question and offers a few options to choose from. Pick one, add a detail if you like, then continue.
4
Read the answer and check the numbers
Click any highlighted figure to see how it was derived, the source it came from, and the inputs behind it. From there you can also open the underlying rows.
5
Keep going
Ask a follow-up in the same chat to go deeper. Your conversation keeps its context, and each chat has its own link you can come back to.
Choosing how much verification you want
Not every question needs the same rigour. The Verification level control in the message box lets you choose how hard Pluvo works to check figures against source data:- Standard is best for quick questions, initial analysis, and exploring your data.
- Enhanced is best for management reporting, planning, and financial decisions.
- Thorough is best for board, investor, or audit-sensitive work. It takes longer.
Digging into a question
For a straightforward question you get a straight answer. When you ask something that needs real digging, such as why a number moved or what is driving a variance, the Assistant runs a fuller investigation, working through the question step by step and showing each step as it completes. If one is interrupted you can pick it back up where it left off. This all happens in the same conversation, so there is nothing separate to open or set up.Seeing the work
Under each answer you can open Thoughts to see the research the Assistant did, step by step, in plain language, such as querying your warehouse or reading your data schema. Steps that returned rows can be expanded to preview them. What went into an answer
Every answer carries a Used in this answer row showing exactly what it drew on. Each item opens for more detail:- Verified figures, the count of numbers that came directly from your source data or were calculated from it
- Each data source it queried, with the tables involved and when that source last synced
- Metrics from your Library that the answer used, with a link through to each definition
- Skills that shaped the answer, with a link to the guidance it followed
